DESCRIPTION:

The route takes us from the pretty village of Stanstead Abbotts beginning on the High Street before heading onto gravel tracks, this is the perfect introduction to the beautiful East Hertfordshire countryside. From here, our journey passes through the stunning villages of Much Hadham, Barwick Ford and Benington towards our eventual finish at the county town of Hertford via the beautiful landscape grounds of Sacombe Park.

A large proportion of the route is on gravel and public right-of-way connected by small country lanes.

A lunch stop will be provided where cyclists can buy food and drink refreshments (at their own cost).

This route is suitable for all cyclists that have a reasonable level of fitness.

The price quoted covers the guiding and instructing fees only.

Participants must provide their own bikes (Hybrid/Mountain/Gravel bikes are suitable).

The course begins at St Margaret’s (Herts) Train Station and ends in the town of Hertford, which has direct links to London Liverpool Street and Moorgate Train Stations. Parking is available at the station (fees apply).
